Our peanut butter butterscotch chocolate crispies take classic Rice Krispies treats and give them a makeover with a delicious combination of flavors. Butterscotch and peanut butter combine to create a sweet, rich, deep flavor, and the white chocolate drizzle adds more sweet flavor and a fun look.

We love Rice Krispies treats, and there’s nothing we love more than putting our own spin on that classic, ooey-gooey square that everyone loves. We’ll use different flavors with the cereal, or we might even use a different cereal altogether, like we did with our Honey Nut Cheerio marshmallow treats. However we decide to make them, they’re always a huge hit with family and friends.
Our latest entry into creative Rice Krispies treats combines butterscotch and peanut butter to make treats that are sweet with a bold kick of earthy, rich flavor. We love them, and we think you will, too.

FAQ
While butterscotch and caramel are similar, they are not the same. Caramel is made with white sugar, while butterscotch is made with brown sugar. This gives butterscotch a deeper, more complex flavor than caramel.
To crush cereal, place it in a resealable bag and press out as much air as possible. Then, lay the bag flat and roll a rolling pin back and forth over it, pressing down as you go, until you reach your desired texture.
Melt the chocolate in a microwaveable bowl or over a double boiler. Then, scoop some of the chocolate out with a tablespoon. Tilt the spoon slightly, and let the chocolate drizzle out over your baked good as you move the spoon back and forth to create a zig-zag or s-shaped drizzle pattern.
