How to Make Big Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Making these cookies is as easy as it gets. It’s just a basic cookie dough that you mix and then fold in Reese’s Pieces and chocolate chunks. There’s nothing to it!

Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl.

Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients

Using an electric mixer, cream the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, and corn syrup in a large bowl. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 4: Make the Cookie Dough

Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until completely combined. Then, fold in the Reese’s Pieces and chocolate chunks with a spatula.

Step 5: Scoop

Use a 4-tablespoon cookie scoop to divide the dough into portions and roll them into balls. Place the balls on the baking sheet.

Step 6: Bake

Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.

Step 7: Cool

Remove the cookies and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Recipe Tips

  • Be sure your butter is fully softened for the best creaming.
  • Remove your cookies as soon as the edges are lightly browned, the middle will be slightly underbaked. That’s good!
  • Give your cookies 5 minutes on the hot baking sheet so carry-over cooking time can finish baking them to perfection.

Variations

  • Use your favorite candies like M&Ms, mini Reese’s Pieces, or candy bars chopped into small pieces for these cookies.
  • Try adding chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds for more flavor and texture.
  • You can use semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate chunks to change the flavor of these cookies slightly.
  • Try adding chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups and peanut butter chips.

What to Serve with Reese’s Pieces Cookies

Both kids and adults cane enjoy these cookies with a glass of ice-cold milk. Grownups can also pair them with coffee or tea. They also make a great addition to a larger dessert table at gatherings and potlucks.
