How to Make Mixed Berry Dessert

This is a quick and easy dessert that anyone can make. It only takes a few minutes and a few simple steps, and you’ll be in and out of the kitchen in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Crust

Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl until well combined. Then, press the mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes and set it aside to cool completely.

Step 3: Make the Cream Cheese Filling

Beat the cream cheese in a medium bowl for 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Then, add the powdered sugar and beat again until combined. Finally, fold in the Cool Whip and refrigerate until the crust has cooled.

Step 4: Make the Mixed Berry Dessert

Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the cooled crust. Then, top it with the blueberry pie filling, spreading it into an even layer. Finally, sprinkle the mixed berries over the top.

Step 5: Chill

Cover the dish, chill for at least 4 hours, and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Fully soften your cream cheese to create a super creamy cream cheese filling for this dessert.
  • Press your graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish so it creates an even layer that will bind together as it bakes.
  • Your crust should be fully cooled before adding the cream cheese filling. Don’t rush this part, or your mixture will melt.
  • 4 hours is the minimum chill time for this recipe, but chilling overnight makes it even better!

Variations

  • Use your favorite pie filling to create a different dessert every time.
  • Strawberries and peaches work as well.
  • You can make the crust with Nilla wafers for a sweeter flavor or crushed pretzels for a sweet and salty dessert.
  • Use brown sugar or a mix of brown and white sugar for a deeper flavor to your crust.

What to Serve with Mixed Berry Dessert

This dessert is delicious as-is. For even more deliciousness, serve it with a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or fresh fruit on the side.
