Peach Pretzel Jello Salad
Are you ready for some summer flavors? Peach Pretzel Salad is the perfect dish for a family get-together. Peaches and pretzels are like two peas in a pod, they just belong together. The sweetness of the peaches with the saltiness of the pretzels makes this the perfect dish for any occasion.
What Is a Pretzel Salad?
A peach pretzel salad is a jello salad that typically includes pretzels. Peaches and pretzels are a match made in heaven; you can’t go wrong with either one.
Peach Jello has always been a delicious southern tradition, but when you add in the goodness of the salty sweet pretzel…oh my!
How to Store
You will want to keep this stored in the refrigerator. Make sure to keep the baking dish or casserole pan covered well. This protects the jello salad and keeps it fresh longer.
If you take this to a picnic or other outside event, if it is hot, you will find that the salad will go bad much faster than it normally would. Keep the salad as cool as possible when you serve it at a get together so that it lasts and maintains its flavor.
Can You Make This Dessert Salad Ahead Of Time?
This Peach Pretzel Salad can be made in advance and kept in the fridge until you’re ready to serve. The dessert can sit in the refrigerator for a few days. It is best to make the Peach Pretzel Salad a day before you are ready to serve it.
Can You Freeze This Dessert?
You do not want to freeze this dessert. The jello does not freeze well. It tends to separate and break down when it is placed in the freezer. It is best to make sure you eat it before it goes bad and store it in the refrigerator.
If you think that you will not finish it in time, simply invite some friends over and watch it disappear.
Tips
When baking the pretzel crust, make sure it has cooled completely before adding the cream cheese filling.
Make sure to spread the filling evenly over the crust. The filling creates a barrier between the crust and the Jello layer. It keeps the crust from getting soggy.
Make sure to add the peach Jello layer after about an hour and a half. You want it to be partially set. Not liquid and not firm. This makes it so you can spread it out over the cream cheese filling.
