- We recommend chilling the pie overnight for the best flavor and texture.
Chocolate Cream Pie FAQs
If your chocolate cream pie is grainy, you most likely didn’t adequately soften and beat your cream cheese. Softening the cream cheese is key to avoiding a grainy texture caused by small unmixed bits in the filling.
You can refrigerate this pie for up to four days, tightly covered. Wrap a whole pie in a double layer of plastic wrap and a layer of foil and freeze for up to a month.
While we recommend chilling this pie overnight, you can serve it after a couple of hours in the fridge, if necessary.
