Ingredients

  • 1 container Pillsbury™ original crescent rolls 8 count
  • 30 ounce package beef smoked sausage Eckrich® family pack

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° and lightly spray with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together and roll it out so it makes one solid crescent sheet.
  • Cut into long strips about an inch thick.
  • Take one strip and start wrapping it around the sausage.
  • Add another strip as needed (can cut sausage into smaller sizes before wrapping) and continue wrapping until all the sausage is wrapped.
  • Place wrapped sausages on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until crescents are golden brown and sausage is heated through.
  • Remove from oven and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Don't Skip the Spray. Lightly spray your cookie sheet with nonstick spray to avoid your sausage roll ups sticking. You can also line your baking tray with parchment paper instead.
  • More Color and a Bit of Shine. Brush the crescent dough with an egg wash for even more golden color.
  • Serving: Enjoy these as breakfast sausage rolls or as a party appetizer or snack. I love to serve a dip or several on the side for dipping. Try them with spicy ketchup, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, jalapeño salsa, or some jalapeño cilantro dip.
  • Store and Reheat: Place leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months. To reheat them, bake them in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
