This thin sliced chicken breast recipe is super easy to make and the flavor is outstanding. Honey and Heinze 57 sauce mixed together, along with seasonings, create this tender, juicy thin oven-baked chicken recipe.

Over the years, I’ve made all kinds of chicken recipes. From buffalo chicken to pot pies, casseroles, fried, and everything in between, if it’s chicken I’ve made it. Today, I’m going with something simpler, though. I’m sharing oven-baked chicken. This classic dinner staple has probably been on everyone’s table more than once – probably far more than once. Chicken is one of the most commonly used meats for meals, and baking it is one of the most common ways to prepare it. And while this recipe is far more basic than some chicken recipes I’ve shared, it’s definitely not lacking in the flavor department. This recipe might be easy, but it’s loaded with flavor that has everyone coming back for more.

This baked chicken breast recipe is super easy, and it’s absolutely loaded with flavor. This, of course, makes it one of my go-to recipes for weeknight meals. With this delicious recipe, I can get something healthy and delicious on the table with very little effort, and it always tastes delicious. Tender, juicy chicken breasts are seasoned with Heinz 57 Sauce, honey, garlic, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, and more to create a simple chicken breast dish that explodes with the perfect combination of sweet and heat in every single bite!

Ingredients for Thin Sliced Chicken Breast

It only takes a few simple ingredients to make this recipe. You’ll find them all easily at your local grocery store.

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
  • Heinze 57 sauce
  • Honey
  • Garlic powder
  • Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Paprika

How to Make Thin Sliced Chicken Breast

It only takes a few steps and a little time in the oven to make this recipe.

Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Step 2: Make the Sauce

Mix the Heinze 57 Sauce and honey together in a small bowl.

Step 3: Bake

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with the seasonings, then brush them on both sides with the honey. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

This delicious recipe is so easy that I only have a couple of tips for you. I also have some variations to share so you can mix things up every now and then.

Tips

  • Always line your baking sheet with foil. It makes cleanup easier and distributes the heat more evenly.
  • Don’t overcook your chicken! Once it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, it’s perfectly cooked.

Variations

  • Omit the Slap Ya Mama and red pepper flakes if you don’t like spicy foods.
  • Add sliced jalapenos for even more heat.
  • Add a touch of blackstrap molasses for an earthier flavor.

How to Thinly Slice Chicken Breast

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to absorb any juice on the surface.
  2. Place the chicken breast on a plastic cutting board. Place the flat of your hand on top of it to hold it in place.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut against the grain down the length of the breast, cutting it into your desired number of strips.

How to Store and Reheat Leftover Baked Chicken

You can store this chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, place chicken breast in a baking dish with just enough liquid to barely cover the bottom of the pan. Then, cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
