Sea Salt Caramel Cookies
These delicious, soft and chewy sea salt caramel cookies are an easy homemade cookie recipe the whole family will enjoy. Made with Trader Joe's caramel baking chips, these cookies are perfect for the holidays, parties, potlucks, or an afternoon snack.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt together.
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until combined.
Add eggs, vanilla extract, and corn syrup, and beat until incorporated.
Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix to combine.
Stir caramel baking chips into cookie batter.
Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, place dough balls onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
Remove from the oven and lightly sprinkle with sea salt.
- Mix your cookie dough until just combined for the best texture. Don't overmix!
- Fold the caramel chips into the cookie dough to prevent forming more gluten.
- For extra soft cookies, try using cake flour. It produces less gluten than all-purpose flour.
- Loosely spoon your flour into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife to prevent packing the flour and using too much.
