Oreo Crunch Topping
- 10 Oreos cookies
- ½ box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Oreo Pie Crust
- 25 Oreo cookies
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
Oreo Crunch Topping
In a food processor, pulse 10 Oreos until coarsely crushed.
In a bowl, add the crushed Oreos, ½ of the chocolate pudding mix, and vanilla extract into the cookie mixture. Stir to combine.
Melt butter, and pour into the crushed Oreos mixture. Mix until incorporated.
Spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool. There will be leftover chocolate crunch.
Oreo Pie Crust
In a food processor, pulse 25 Oreos until finely crushed and add to a medium bowl.
Add melted butter to the cookie mixture. Stir to combine.
Add to the prepared pie dish and spread out in an even layer covering the sides of the pie dish as well.
Bake for 6 minutes at 350. Remove and let cool.
Cream Cheese Pie Filling
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add heavy cream and sugar. Beat until combined.
In another medium bowl, beat instant Oreo cookies n’ creme and evaporated milk together. The mixture will be very thick, then add it to the cream cheese mixture and beat until combined.
Once the Oreo crust is cool, spread pie filling in an even layer on top of the crust.
Place in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Homemade Whipped Cream
In a medium bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
Once ready to serve, sprinkle the chocolate Oreo crunch over the top of the pie filling.
Top with whipped cream around the outer edge, and sprinkle the fine cookie crumbs over the whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!
Tips
- Soften the Cream Cheese: Cream cheese at room temperature creates a smooth, creamy filling.
- Chilling is Key: Chill the pie fully for the right texture and best flavor. 3 to 4 hours is the minimum, but overnight is better.
- Bake the Topping: While you don't technically need to bake it, it gives the topping the perfect crunchy texture.
- Perfect Slices: Use a sharp knife and make smooth, even cuts, wiping the blade between each cut.
