Ingredients

Instructions

  • Bake biscuits according to directions on package.
  • Set up dredging stations.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.
  • In another medium bowl, mix together flour, bread crumbs, and seasonings.
  • Heat oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Dip chicken strips into egg mixture and then immediately into dry mixture.
  • Drop coated strips into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes on both sides until golden brown and internal temperature is 165 degrees.
  • Assemble biscuits with a piece of fried chicken & drizzle with honey butter.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • After dredging, lightly shake off any extra coating for an even, crispy texture.
  • When frying, leave enough space between each piece to maintain the oil’s temperature. Overcrowding the pan can result in uneven cooking and a less crispy crust.
  • Once the chicken is done, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and rest. Letting it rest for a few minutes helps keep the meat juicy and flavorful.
  • For leftovers, store the chicken biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. When ready to reheat, wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave in short intervals until warmed through.
