Servings: 6 servings
- 3 pound chuck roast
- 1 medium onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 carrots sliced
- 3 stalks celery sliced
- 1 packet Ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet Good Seasonings® Italian seasoning mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 cup beef broth
In a 6 or 8 quart crock pot, spray with a non-stick cooking spray or use a liner.
Place diced onions in the bottom followed by the chuck roast.
Sprinkle all seasoning packets on top of the meat.
Add carrots and celery.
Pour beef broth into crock pot, cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours.
- Thicken the gravy: For a thicker gravy, mix a cornstarch slurry, and pour it into the slow cooker just about 30 minutes before serving.
- Shorten the cooking time: If you don’t have 8 hours, cut the roast into even-sized pieces to get it done and on the table faster.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container with juices for up to three days.
