In a large stock pot add Bbq sauce and apple cider vinegar. Add beef ribs and cover with water. Stir and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to simmer at the lowest heat possible.
Let simmer for 2 ½ hours.
Before ribs are done, preheat the grill to at least 350 degrees (medium).
Remove the ribs from the sauce, and cover ribs with fresh bbq sauce.
Place on the grill for 15 minutes on medium heat.
Optional: drizzled hot honey over bbq sauce, if desired
- The key to these ribs is a super-low simmer. The water should just be bubbling.
- Choose boneless ribs that have plenty of fat and connective tissue to ensure tender, juicy ribs.
- If finishing off the ribs in the oven, give them about a minute under the broiler at the end to caramelize them a bit.
Storage
Store leftovers for up to 4 days in an airtight container. For longer storage, wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and freeze them in an airtight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag for up to 3 months.
To reheat the ribs, defrost them overnight in the refrigerator if frozen. Then, microwave individual portions at 1-minute intervals until heated through.
