Candied Bacon Crackers

These candied bacon crackers are the perfect addition to any gathering. Buttery Club crackers are topped with sweet and spicy candied bacon for a sweet and savory treat that has everyone coming back for more.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet and lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Line the crackers on the rack.
  • Cut each strip of bacon into 4 equal parts.
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  • Place a piece of the cut bacon on top of each cracker followed by a teaspoon of brown sugar mixture.
  • Press brown sugar down and even it out a bit.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes or until the bacon is cooked through and the mixture has caramelized.

Notes

Tips
  • Avoid thick-cut bacon. It takes too long to cook, and your crackers will end up getting soggy.
  • It's important to cook these crackers on an elevated rack. This allows plenty of air flow, so everything gets nice and crispy without any sogginess from grease.
