I grew up in California, so in addition to delicious Mexican flavors, I was exposed to a ton of Asian food, as well. I love it. From the first egg roll I had as a kid to all the amazing seafood dishes I ordered as I got older, I was always a huge fan of the flavors of Asia, and I continue to be to this day. One Asian dish I love to make when I have friends and family over is this ground beef ramen noodles recipe. It’s loaded with authentic Asian flavor, and the ground beef is kid-friendly, so I know everyone will eat it. It’s also easy to make, which never hurts, you know? This ramen recipe has been a long-time favorite of mine, and once you try it, it’ll be a favorite of yours, as well!

Ramen Noodles with Ground Beef

This delicious ramen recipe starts with ground beef that I cook in a pan. I drain it and then add a delicious mix of onions, broccoli, celery, and carrots and cook until tender. Then, I make the sauce and add it to the pan with the meat and vegetables. Finally, I add the mixture to authentic ramen noodles and mix it all up. That’s all there is to it. Oh, except for chowing down. We can’t forget that part! It’s an easy recipe that anyone can make and everyone loves. I often make it for lunch or dinner, and I’ve even been known to bring an extra large batch to potlucks to add a little Asian flair to the mix!

Recipe Tips

  • Be sure to cook the noodles according to the package directions for the best texture. Don’t over or undercook them.
  • Cook your ground beef until no longer pink and no further. Overcooking it will make it rubbery and flavorless.
  • Stir your vegetable mixture constantly to avoid browning the onions and prevent sticking.
  • Stir frequently after adding the sauce to help evenly distribute the heat for thickening.
  • Use a gentle stirring motion or toss your noodles with the beef mixture to avoid breaking the noodles.

Variations

  • You can use bite-size steak or pork or your favorite shellfish in this recipe.
  • For a mild version, omit the red pepper flakes.
  • For an extra kick of heat and flavor, add red chile peppers.
  • Try adding mushrooms or bok choy to these noodles.
