You can find fritters at your local donut shop, you can find them stuffed with fruit and pan-fried on your granny’s table, and you can find them as a patty that’s been fried to golden brown perfection like the ones I’m featuring here.

Easy Corn Fritters Tips and Variations

I have a few tips that will help you make these fritters the best that they can possibly be. I also have some great variations that you can try if you want to switch things up.

Tips

  • Don’t crowd the pan when frying the fritters. Give them room so they can fry on all sides and keep the oil at the proper temperature.
  • There’s no need to get your hands messing forming these fritters. Just add a spoonful to the pan, and they’ll spread on their own.

Variations

  • Use fresh corn on the cob if you have the time for even more intense corn flavor.
  • You can use whole kernel corn in place of creamed corn.
  • Add any of your other favorite vegetables. Just dice them up.
  • Try adding cheese to the fritters. Yummo!
