In a small saucepan, add pulled pork and barbecue sauce.
Cook over medium heat until heated through.
In a medium bowl, beat butter until creamy.
Add grated Parmesan and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
Spread a layer of butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
Place each slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium low heat.
Place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on top of the bread.
Add a heaping spoonful or two of pulled pork on top of the cheese, another slice of cheese on top of the pork, and the top piece of bread, buttered side up.
Grill over medium low heat until golden on both sides.
- Pick your cheese wisely! While sharp cheddar brings a classic flavor, feel free to mix it up with melty options like Monterey Jack or smoked Gouda for an extra kick!
- Don’t skimp on the butter spread. Make sure to coat the bread evenly with the Parmesan butter so your sandwiches toast up golden and crisp on the outside.
- We love to use Texas Toast, the thick slices hold up well; however, you can use your favorite bread instead.
