Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or barbecue sauce and enjoy.
Storage
- Refrigerate for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
- Microwave at 15-second intervals until warm.
Tips
- Use a sharp serrated knife and as little pressure as possible to slice the bread. This helps it maintain its shape and pretty crust.
- Lean brisket is best for this recipe.
- ½ inch is the sweet spot for the bruschetta toast slices. That's thick enough to stand up to the topping but thin enough for easy eating.
- Use day-old bread if possible. It's sturdier and toasts beautifully.
