  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare (2) 8 inch cake pans by spraying with non stick cooking spray and lightly coating with flour.

Banana Cake

  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until creamy.
  • Add eggs and beat until combined then beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  • Next, add flour, baking soda, and salt then beat until combined.
  • Stir in mashed bananas and mix until well incorporated.
  • Pour batter equally into prepared cake pans and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until combined, then add the banana and vanilla extracts.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Once the cake has cooled, frost and enjoy.
