  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and lightly spray a 3 quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Crisp Topping

  • In a large bowl, whisk flour and brown sugar together. Add 1 cup of butter and mix on low speed until crumbly.

Cranberry Filling

  • In a medium bowl, whisk sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together. Set aside.
  • Rinse cranberries and add to a large bowl.
  • Add walnuts, orange juice, and orange zest to cranberries. Stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle sugar mixture over cranberries and gently stir until cranberries are well coated.
  • Pour cranberry mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread in an even layer.
  • Top the fruit mixture with random slices of butter.
  • Add flour mixture over the cranberry mixture and spread evenly.
  • Baked uncovered for 45-55 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
