Preheat the oven to 350° and spray a 9x5 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk flour and baking soda together. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer or stand mixer, beat butter and sugar together until creamy.
Add egg and beat until combined then add mashed bananas. Stir.
Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
Sprinkle macadamia nuts into the mixture, stir.
Spoon mixture into prepared baking dish and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and serve warm with a pad of butter.
