These delicious cranberry pecan sandies are the perfect holiday cookie recipe loaded with fresh cranberries and chopped pecans, baked to perfection, and covered with powdered sugar.

  • Preheat oven to 325° and line a baking sheet(s) with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until combined.
  • Add water and vanilla, and beat until combined.
  • Mix in flour, one cup at a time.
  • Stir in cranberries and pecans.
  • Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, roll into a ball, place on the prepared baking dish and flatten slightly with the bottom of a smooth glass.
  • Bake for 18-23 minutes, or until the edges just start to brown.
  • Remove cookies from the oven and place cookies on a wire rack to cool.
  • Dust with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
